Born in Melitopol in 1993. She graduated from The National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (2018), the monumental painting department. In 2019, she took an evening course in contemporary art at KAMA. In her practice, Krystyna works with images that use the double power of an icon. She rejects the narrative concept in figurative painting and chooses a combination of different semantic layers. Krystyna studies the sacred through the image of the suffering body, which also plays a significant role in her practice. She uses levkas and soil which are traditionally used in icon painting. Lives and works in Kyiv.
